A helix piercing costs $20 to $35 for the service in the US studio price lists we read, with jewelry extra, or $45 to $65 where starter jewelry is included. It was the cheapest cartilage piercing, or level with the cheapest, in every list.
Prices are as published in September 2026. We have not checked whether these studios meet the Association of Professional Piercers (APP) checklist, so they show how prices are quoted rather than being recommendations.

Oklahoma City prices helix and flat together, and Phoenix lists it as helix or rim. Philadelphia’s $45 is its outer helix and earlobe price. Amato’s $65 is a $35 service fee plus $30 for the jewelry.

The first months in total

What to check before you pay
The APP’s advice is not to act impulsively or be seduced by a low price, as you generally get what you pay for. Is jewelry included in the price of a helix piercing?
It depends on the studio. Three of the six we read quote a service fee only. The other three include starter jewelry in the price. Ask which you are being quoted before you compare.
How much does helix jewelry cost?
The lists show a flat-back stud at $35 in Oakland, titanium barbells from $36 in Phoenix and a barbell from $26 in Oklahoma City. The APP's accepted materials for initial piercings include implant-certified titanium, and gold or decorative pieces cost more.
Do I pay extra for the downsize?
Often a little. The lists charged $10 for a jewelry change in Oakland and Philadelphia and $10 and up in Phoenix, while Amato says changes are free. You also pay for the shorter post if it is not included.
How does a helix compare with other ear piercings on price?
It was the cheapest cartilage piercing, or level with the cheapest, in these lists. Service fees were $20 to $35 for a helix, $30 to $35 for a conch or tragus, $30 to $45 for a daith, $30 to $40 for a rook and $45 to $50 for an industrial.
